Dagger

Our ‘Dagger’ system is a simple and very effective way to break soil compaction

Compacted soil doesn’t allow rainwater to permeate down from the surface, so we can use our ‘Dagger’ system every two metres to send a shaft either 300 or 600mm into the ground and release a compressed air charge, decompressing surrounding soil/sub-soil to allow drainage.

Soakaway

Soakaways collect surface water run-off into one point, before dissipating it into the surrounding area.

Dig hole at least 5m from building.
Install Aquavoid crates 1 metre deep encased in membrane and shingle filter.
Make good with soil and turf.

Soakaway
sump & pump

Sump & Pump

Pumps water to another area

Dig sump approx. 4ft deep.
Set perforated plastic rings with membrane and shingle filter.
Fit submersible pump with float switch (customer to supply exterior power socket as close to sump as possible but within 7 metres).
Discharge pipe 1 ¼” to discharge in to required area.
Manhole cover on sump (all that can be seen of installation).

Perforated Pipe System

Discharges water to another area via a perforated pipe

We dig out trenches at 3 metre centres approx. 300-450mm deep.
Soil to stay for preparation.
Set 3″ perforated land drain pipes set in 10mm shingle.
Water discharges in to a designated area.
Pipework is covered in a shingle fillet.
The pipework and shingle is topped with soil for re-turfing.
We ‘Dagger’ between pipes to break compaction.
