Turf Laying Timeline
Here are the stages we take to install a new, high-quality lawn shown in this timeline.
Each stage is crucial to creating a stunning and vibrant lawn that can be enjoyed for many years.
Before Work Starts
Customer applies ‘RoundUp’, to kill off existing lawn/vegetation, at least 2 weeks before commencement of work.
Our laying process follows, as shown below.
1.
Rotovate the Ground
Rotovate the whole area (max 6″ depth), grade & clear arisings
2.
Grade
Import and spread a new soil/ compost mix
3.
Rake
Rake to the natural fall of the garden, lightly tread down the soil
4.
Spread fertiliser
Spread Rolawn® GroRight® Lawn Establishment Fertiliser
5.
Lay turf
Lay the turf from planks
6.
Lightly roll
We lightly roll the new turf to bed down & level the seams.
7.
Water-in, once
8.
New lawn complete
Where there are bare patches, we oversow and feed, to promote new growth.
9.
New lawn
After 4 weeks
